Upon returning to Berkeley after spending 3 months away, I was unable to buy everything I needed to fully restock my apartment, so what was originally intended to be Szechuan Green Beans turned into this. I was quite pleased with the outcome.



Serves:

Serves as a side dish or with rice for a light dinner.

Ingredients

1 lb. Green Beans

1 onion, chopped

4 cloves garlic, chopped

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons chicken or vegetable broth

1/2 teaspoon chili flakes, or to taste

 

 

Instructions

Sauté onions and garlic until slightly browned.

Add green beans and sauté for a few minutes.

Add soy sauce, broth, and chili flakes. Cook until beans are done, but still have some crunch.

Serve as a side dish or with rice for a light dinner.
